Environmental Education Programme
The environmental education is one of the main pillars in the long term conservation of threatened habitats. For the Tesoro Escondido Reserve it is a priority to have a permanent presence in the communities in our zone of influence through our support in environmental topics for children and adults.
Our team works in 10 communities in schools and high-schools with projects that allow students to improve their relationship with nature. Since 2019 we have established agroecological gardens, worm composts and medicinal plant gardens in each school as part of the national programme TINI (land for children and teenagers for living well).
We also deliver workshops in health centres and to the general population in relevant environmental topics for the area.
Our environmental educators permanently train in teaching strategies and environment topics with the support of experts.
